Terms of service
What you are agreeing to
Your agreement with Pluto Care, Inc. for the platform and the subscription. Clinical care is a separate agreement with Pluto Care Medical, P.C., set out in the telehealth consent.
Pluto Care is a reference build of a telehealth platform. No live service runs behind it: no account can be created, no payment can be taken, and every patient in it is synthetic. This document is written as the one a deployment would publish, and it describes how the software actually behaves — but it binds nobody, because there is no operator and no patient on either side of it.
Two companies, two agreements
Pluto Care, Inc. runs the software, the brand, the subscription and your account. It does not practise medicine, does not employ your clinician and does not direct clinical care. Pluto Care Medical, P.C. is an independent physician-owned practice; it employs the clinicians, owns your medical record and makes every clinical decision about you.
Pluto Care, Inc. is who this page is an agreement with. Your agreement with Pluto Care Medical, P.C. is the telehealth consent, and you accept both with the same checkbox when you create an account. The separation is not decorative: it is why a marketing decision can never reach your chart, and why nobody at Pluto Care, Inc. can overrule a clinician who declines to prescribe.
Who can use this service
- You are 18 or older. Age is verified before anything is prescribed, not taken on trust.
- You live in a state where Pluto Care Medical, P.C. holds a licence. The states served, and the states that require a live video visit, are listed on the eligibility page.
- You answer the questionnaires truthfully. A clinician confirms what you tell us, and an answer given to get past a screen is an answer that reaches a prescribing decision.
- You use the account yourself and do not share access to it.
The eligibility criteria are published in full before you sign up, including the ones that rule you out. Meeting them is not a promise of a prescription — see below.
What the subscription costs
One subscription, one invoice: a $99 monthly care fee plus your medication at the manufacturer self-pay price for your current dose. Every dose of every treatment is priced on the pricing page before you give us anything, including the maintenance doses most people end up on.
- Nothing is charged while you are being reviewed. Payment details are taken after a clinician approves treatment, and the first charge happens then.
- If you are found ineligible you are charged nothing, and any amount already taken is refunded automatically — you do not have to ask.
- The subscription renews each month on the same date until you cancel. A dose change can change your medication price; the new monthly total is shown to you before the change is submitted, never after it takes effect.
- Card statements show PLUTOCARE, which names no medication and no condition.
Cancelling takes two clicks from your account and stops all future charges immediately. The cancellation policy sets out the timing, the refund rules and what happens to medication already dispensed.
What is not being promised
- A prescription. A clinician may decline, may ask for more information, or may recommend something other than what you hoped for. You are not charged for a declined application.
- A specific medication. The treatment preference you give is a preference. Availability, your history and clinical judgement decide what is actually prescribed.
- An outcome. The weight-loss figures published on this site are real-world averages, not the trial figures, and an average is not a forecast for you.
- Emergency care. This service is not for emergencies. If you think you are having one, call 911 or go to an emergency department.
Your data
What is collected, who holds it and what is never done with it is set out in the privacy policy. The short version, which the policy states at greater length: this site loads no advertising or analytics tag of any kind, your pre-account answers never leave your browser, and nothing about your health is sold or shared with an ad network.
Suspending an account
Pluto Care, Inc. may suspend an account for fraudulent payment, for sharing access, or where continuing would put someone at risk. Suspension stops future charges. It does not delete your medical record, which Pluto Care Medical, P.C. retains for the period its state licences require, and it does not prevent you from obtaining a copy of that record.
Changes to these terms
Each version of this document has an identifier, printed below and written into the consent record when you accept it. A material change is a new version and a new acceptance, not a quiet edit to the page — which is the point of storing the hash of the exact words you read rather than a pointer to whatever this page says today.
