Orforglipron (oral)

How to store Orforglipron (oral) and how to take it.

Orforglipron (oral) is taken as a daily tablet, and is started low and increased in steps. There are 6 steps in the schedule. Where a step has another above it, at least 28 days must pass before an increase can be requested; the last step is the maintenance dose and has nothing above it.

This page describes the medication in general. What you were prescribed, and where you are in the schedule, is in the app.

Storing it

Keep it at 20–25 °C (68–77 °F).

  • Keep the tablets in their original blister or bottle until you take them. Moisture is what damages them, which is also why the bathroom cabinet is the wrong place.
  • Do not refrigerate them.
  • Never use them past the expiry date on the pack.

Before you take it

  • Take one tablet a day, at roughly the same time each day.
  • Swallow it whole with water. Unlike oral semaglutide, this one does not require an empty stomach or a wait before eating.

Taking it

  • If a day is missed, skip it and take the next tablet at the usual time. Do not take two in one day.
